Now that the overly dramatic monologue has concluded, i'll give a simple update followed by more rambling.
The last two years has been a challenging time in my life. Burned out by the fire of yesterday, left with the coals of old friendships and dreams, i over worked the burnt out campfire, only to summon smoke and ash, which almost choked me.
I have learned that life is a series of instances that sets each of us up for the consequence of the decisions we make. And though i am inclined to cast my responsibility to circumstance (the one which i call "the great dictator in life") i realize, at the end of the day, i am to blame.
In some situations regret is replaced with a scholarly enlightenment, while other circumstances leave me with joy and a feeling of achievement and hope.
I now stand at the cusp of a new chapter in my life, one which will sum up the last 12 years of living for what i never considered a dream, but a goal. The road has been long and drawn out; with better decision making, the road could have been much shorter, and once i arrive, i know it will only be a beginning point.
We find ourselves moved by currents from unknown places; devised by puppeteers whose faces are hidden under the shadows of their mastery.
